

You can use this same menu to choose a different save location for your future screenshots. If anything other than “Desktop” is checked, you can look in that location for your screenshots. In the screenshots toolbar that appears, click “Options.” Under the “Save To” section in the menu, you’ll see a checkmark beside the location where screenshots are currently saved (such as “Desktop,” “Documents,” or “Preview.”). To move the recording to another location, drag the thumbnail to your desired folder. If you swipe the thumbnail to the right or do nothing, your recording will automatically save as a QuickTime movie (MOV) in the location you’ve set. Once you stop recording, you’ll briefly see a thumbnail of the video in the lower-right corner of your screen.
